Introduction

In a prophetic vision, Kim Birowski (USRPN Delaware state coordinator) saw a map of the US and what looked like bugs and/or ants swarming in certain states and locations. One of the locations was Delaware. She then saw a huge foot squash down on those locations and kill all the bugs that had swarmed there in one fell step! What God was communicating is that there are demonic forces that are “swarming” in certain locations across the U.S. and His plan is to release to the body of Christ in those locations a powerful anointing to “squash” the enemy and bring deliverance and freedom to the captives.

This vision particularly applies to Delaware as it is a state in which much anti-biblical ideology and agendas abound. This FastForward prayer guide for the state of Delaware will inform and encourage you to pray for key issues regarding Delaware’s government, familial structure, economy, and local church, all with the 2012 elections as a focal point.

Delaware Week of Prayer

Monday & Tuesday: Business/Economy

Much of the Delaware economy relies on government jobs, farming, education, banking, chemical and pharmaceutical companies, healthcare, and automotive manufacturing.(1)  As of December, 2011, the unemployment rate was 7.4%(2), which is a 1.1% decrease than that of a year ago.(1) To view more information regarding Delaware’s economy, please click here.

1.) Pray for Delaware’s unemployment rate to continue decreasing.
2.) Pray for local businesses and start-up companies to prosper, which strengthens the private sector.
3.) Ask the Lord to expose any deceit or corruption within the Delaware economic system, particularly in banking and governmental positions.
4.) Pray for money to be managed wisely by the state and citizens of Delaware. Ask the Lord to give a prudent heart to Delaware in order to avoid over-spending and debt.
5.) Pray that the economic system, and money-spending in Delaware would be used for God’s glory. Repent on behalf of Delaware for funding abortion, homosexual rights, and other anti-Biblical, unrighteous acts.

Wednesday & Thursday: Government

As in most northeastern states, Delaware is more liberal than conservative. Since 1992, Delaware has voted democratic in every election. (3)

1.) Ask the Lord to bless every governmental official in Delaware. Pray for their families, salvation, finances, and work in their particular sphere.
2.) Pray for righteous and just leaders to be elected into office in the 2012 elections.
3.) Pray for biblical principles to be established in Delaware’s political offices.
4.) Pray for the members of the U.S. military and their families in Delaware.
5.) Pray protection over Dover Air Force Base.

Friday & Saturday: Family/Marriage

1.) On January 1, 2012, same-sex civil unions were legalized. Pray that same-sex marriage will not be legalized, and ask the Lord to have mercy on the state of Delaware for allowing homosexuality to prevail.
2.) Pray that families and marriages across the state would be strengthened, and enriched by biblical values.
3.) Pray for the youth of Delaware, that they would not be enticed into a world of drugs, alcohol, pornography, etc., but that they would stand as a generation of purified warriors for Christ.
4.) Pray that families in Delaware would see the importance of going to a Bible-believing church, not solely for spiritual enrichment, but also for the bonding with one another.
5.) Declare that the spirit of divorce and suicide will not advance in Delaware!

Sunday: Ekklesia

1.) Pray for the local Church in Delaware to not be influenced by radical, liberal ideologies, but that it would stand for righteousness, justice, and truth.
2.) Pray for a greater measure of unity between local churches. Ask the Lord to guide them into partnering with one another to see the ending of issues such as abortion and homosexual rights.
3.) Pray for pastors and church leaders to be strengthened in their positions. Pray for protection over them and their families form the hand of the enemy that would seek to make them fall into sin and division.
4.) Pray that the Ekklesia in Delaware will not be apathetic in the 2012 elections, but would seek to be informed and vote!
5.) Declare that the Church in this state will rise up in its position as the governing body.

Top State Issues

Abortion
In a 2008 study, there were 22, 300 women who became pregnant in the state of Delaware. 54% of these pregnancies ended in live births, and a whopping 32% (or 7, 070) of these pregnancies ended in abortions. It’s time for the Church to arise and counter-act this destructive issue in prayer and activism! (1)

Homosexual Rights
Although same-sex activity has been legalized for some time in Delaware, the issue has been even more reinforced with the legalization of same-sex unions on On January 1, 2012. This also allows same-sex couples to adopt. As the liberal agenda makes advances in the state of Delaware, it is only a matter of time before homosexual marriage is legalized, that is, if the Church doesn’t stand up and be a voice. Pray for the Ekklesia to be a righteous voice against a matter that is corrupting the familial structure and society of Delaware. (2)

The Liberal Agenda
With the last two issues in place, it’s safe to say that the liberal agenda is prominent in Delaware, and is making huge impacts in the government, economy, familial structure, and is even causing local churches to lean to the left on some issues. Please be in prayer for all non-Biblical structures to be corrected by the Lord’s hand, and declare that the Church in Delaware rise up, take its place as it’s supposed to, and be the purified bride of Christ that effects all facets of Delaware’s society.
