Keep Praying for Sanford

The Sanford pastors and ministry leaders have been meeting to seek healing for their city and the nation since the gathering at Charisma Media on April 12, 2012.[1] This varied group of leaders from different streams and ethnicity are pressing in to see Sanford restored. They need our prayers as they form a new alliance to bring reformation to the land.
Cindy Jacobs preached at The Bridge in Sanford last Sunday. She prophesied that the Lord is “bringing this city to a place where you can ford and go across the troubled waters.” A ford is defined as “a shallow place with good footing where a river or stream may be crossed by wading or in a vehicle. A ford is mostly a natural phenomenon, in contrast to a low water crossing, which is an artificial bridge that allows crossing a river or stream when water is low.”[2] All that to say, Sanford will make it over this season of trauma.
She declared that “Sanford is getting an anointing to reconcile,” and encouraged the people of the city to take their prophetic destiny very seriously. She stated that, “Sanford is a Philadelphia city of brotherly love that will effect cities like Chicago, East L.A. and East Dallas.”
Paul Benjamin, Sr. of the Dream Center is working with the leaders in Sanford. As the Florida branch of RPN, I have committed us to pray for this group and city until we see healing come. Here are a few prayer points that Pastor Paul is asking us to concentrate on to see their city and our nation healed:
> Sanford is a microcosm of our nation - pray for wisdom, favor and courage as he seeks to bring apostolic alignment as they move forward.
> Pray for John 17 and Psalm 133 unity and oneness
> Rebuke pride and the spirit of offense. Declare that it has no place in Sanford and Central Florida
> Pray for healing and renewal in Sanford.
Heavenly Father, we lift up Sanford, Florida to you today. Lord, strengthen the arms of the pastors and leaders in the city so they may ford and go across the troubled waters they are experiencing right now. Release Your spirit of reconciliation upon the people of the city. Release reconciliation to the nation. Break down the walls of offense. Remove pride and selfish ambition from the new ministry alliance that is forming. Let all personal gain and agendas fall to the ground and let the cause for Jesus Christ become central in Sanford and Central Florida. Unify Your body. Let us be one as You are one. Bring apostolic order and alignment to Sanford so it will fulfill it’s prophetic destiny of brotherly love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
