A Vision of a ‘Gideon’ Victory in the Middle East

On Feb. 28 in Jerusalem, I received a vision concerning the Middle East. It related to several visions I have had since 2009. I will try to weave them together so you can see the greater narrative.

I saw that the LORD had put clay jars over the torches of the houses of prayer across the Middle East in order to hide from demonic powers the number of flaming torches arising here. He then gave the houses of prayer shofars (ram’s horns) just as He had commanded Gideon to do with his band of 300 warriors (Judges 7:10-22).

In March 2009 I had a vision of witches calling wolves and sharks to attack the borders of Israel, which looked like a piece of raw steak. In that vision, I saw intercessors praying Numbers 23:23 (“There is no divination against Jacob, no evil omens against Israel.” – NIV) against the witchcraft and crying for the blood of Jesus to protect the borders of Israel. I saw the blood of Jesus rise up like a huge, brick wall to protect the borders, and angels were positioned around the borders with shields and silver trumpets. As they blew their horns, the witches pulled back, the wolves ran away, and the sharks swam away.  The hands on a clock went from five minutes before midnight to 15 minutes before midnight, indicating a window of mercy at that time – 2009 – for more houses of prayer to be raised up across the Middle East.

In an apparent confirmation of the 2009 vision of the sharks swimming towards Israel, there are reports that North Korea has developed a mini-submarine and torpedoes that are almost impossible to detect using sonar. They call this submarine the “shark”! (“North Korea Builds”). They reportedly have sold several of these submarines to Iran, which may also have provided them to Syria (Hwang).

In the February 2012 vision, I saw that the LORD made the protective wall of the blood of Jesus and the positioned angels with their shields and trumpets invisible to His enemies, in order to lure them into a trap.

In another vision, back in February 2011, I saw the doors to the underworld of the Middle East opening and demonic armies ready to march out. The LORD then instructed us intercessors to take “the staff of His Name” and to close those doors, which were then tied with red cords (His blood). He then put timers on the cords to be untied at a later time.

This February, I saw the timers going off. The cords on the underworld doors were undone, allowing the demon hordes to pour out of them. Many of the demons looked like skeletons and were riding black horses. Other dark creatures were marching toward Israel in large numbers.

Then I saw the witches and wolves running towards Israel’s borders, and the sharks started swimming toward the coastline of Israel, because its wall of protection was invisible to them.

I had the sense that the LORD allowed some minor penetration of the borders of Israel in order to lure the wolves and sharks into attacking, to make Israel appear more vulnerable to them.

Just as the situation was looking very serious, the LORD removed the jars over the flaming torches of the Middle Eastern houses of prayer. As they shone their torches into the eyes of the horses carrying the demonic riders and blew their shofars, the horses started to panic.

At this point, I saw a detail that might be important to some of us in the region: I saw revolving doors, and some intercessors repositioned, moved to houses of prayer in other nations.

Then the intercessors were given poles with hooks on them, which they used to pull down doors into the heavens. These doors were like the kind my grandmother had into her attic – when you pulled the door open, stairs slid down. In the vision, multitudes of mighty angels riding white horses descended down these steps and surprised the enemy troops.

All of this resulted in great panic and confusion for God’s enemies, and they started fighting one another. The LORD also released spirits of betrayal upon these demonic armies, causing them to turn upon one another.

Other demonic beings still advanced forward, but they were stopped by the invisible wall of the blood of Jesus and by the invisible shields of the angels protecting Israel.

This resulted in great glory brought to the Name of the God of Israel, and there was a great movement among Muslims who began to question “Who is the true God?” (Psalm 83:16-18).

Prayer Directives

• Pray that the houses of prayer springing up across the Middle East may remain hidden until the time that the Lord would “take the clay jars off of their torches.”  Pray that their torches will burn brightly with the fire of the Lord, and that they will be sensitive to the direction of the “Commander of the Armies of Heaven.”

• Pray from Psalm 9:15-18, that the nations who plot against Israel will fall in to the pit they have dug and get caught in the net they have laid.

• Pray from Exodus 14:13-22, that the attacking nations will be lured into a trap by the LORD, just like Pharaoh and his army were lured into the Red Sea. Pray that Israel’s enemies will make strategic errors, even as Pharaoh did.

• Pray for confusion and division upon the LORD’s enemies (Mark 3:24-26; 2 Chronicles 20:22-23: Judges 7:22).

• Pray for mercy. God’s judgments are not just to show power, but are meant to be redemptive. God acts so that mankind will know His Name and know that the LORD God of Israel is the true and living God. (Psalm 83:16-18).
